Need of an Inverter

Inverters convert DC battery power to standard AC power. They allow you to run regular AC appliances, including TVs, computers, microwaves and power tools. With an inverter your AC loads run off your batteries and they can be used any time of day or night - without a generator - and definitely during a utility power failure.

                               

Selecting the right inverter

When selecting an inverter, choose a size that can power the appliances you plan to use. Typical sizes installed in RV and home are 1000 to 2500 watts. Larger inverters from 4 kW to 11 kW are used in large power systems, such as lodges, and industrial applications. 

Inverters used for Homes

Most home power systems in Middle East, Africa are now wired for 220-240 VAC, and an inverter is installed to feed these circuits. An inverter not only lets you use standard appliances and tools but conventional wiring as well. In larger remote residences, particularly those using auxiliary generators, inverters can reduce the costs of power generation by up to 90%. Most inverters include a stand-by battery charger, so that when the generator is on, the batteries are automatically recharged. DESCRIPTION

Model INT1250 DC-to-AC inverter with auto line-to-battery transfer and integrated charging system serves as an extended run UPS, a standalone power source or an automotive inverter. The Model supplies up to 1250 watts of continuous 230V AC power to 2 AC outlets from any 12V battery or automotive DC source. When AC cable is connected to a live wall socket, power passes through to the connected equipment and the battery set is recharged via 3 stage, 30 amp charging system. In UPS mode, the system responds to blackouts and brownouts with an uninterrupted transfer to battery-derived AC output. Includes a set of high current DC input terminals for simple installation. It has a reliable large transformer design with efficient output and frequency control powers resistive electronic loads or large inductive motors, compressors and other items with high current needs on start-up. The model supports an unlimited amount of runtime with any number of user-supplied batteries connected. These Inverters also known as powerverters accommodate "peak surge" demands by delivering more output power than their continuous rating. A Double Boost feature provides up to 200% of the continuous output for up to 10 seconds, providing the extra power needed to cold start heavy-duty tools and equipment. An Over Power feature delivers up to 150% of the continuous output for up to 1 hour.
